Early Intervention Supports

Early Intervention Support

Early Intervention Support is designed to provide children under the age of 9 and their families with timely, evidence-based assistance to promote development, independence, and participation in everyday life. This approach focuses on strengthening the capacity of both the child and their support network to achieve meaningful outcomes.

Our Early Intervention Support includes:

  • Working collaboratively with families to identify and understand their goals for their child
  • Facilitating connections to mainstream services and NDIS supports
  • Enhancing family confidence and capability in responding to the child’s support needs
  • Supporting formal networks (such as educators, health professionals, and community services) to help the child achieve developmental goals
  • Linking families with local community activities, playgroups, and support networks
  • Promoting the child’s inclusion in meaningful daily routines and activities that build independence
  • Supporting the child to develop the ability to engage in activities they need or want to do

This support enables families to build strong foundations for long-term growth, participation, and wellbeing.

Who Can Access This Support?

Early Intervention Support is available to NDIS participants under the age of 9 and their families. It is designed for children who may benefit from additional assistance in their early years to reach developmental milestones, strengthen daily living skills, and participate more fully in family and community life. Families seeking to enhance their capacity to support their child’s development are encouraged to access this service.

Benefits of Early Intervention Support

Early Intervention Support can make a significant difference in a child’s life by:

  • Supporting developmental progress during crucial early years
  • Building skills for greater independence and participation
  • Enhancing family and caregiver confidence in managing support needs
  • Strengthening community connections and access to resources
  • Laying the foundation for improved long-term wellbeing and quality of life

We recognise it may be challenging for families to navigate these times and the different systems of support available. Alongside the NDIS, there are a range of mainstream and community services that can assist parents, carers, and families. These include health and wellbeing services, parenting programs, playgroups, cultural and community organisations, and local council support. Families are encouraged to explore these options alongside NDIS supports to ensure their child and family have access to the most appropriate and holistic assistance available.

Entrust Support Services has immediate capacity to take behaviour support referrals.
