Allied health assistants are an integral part of the Allied Health Team. They work closely with you and your occupational therapist to ensure that you achieve your goals faster.
Our Allied Health Assistants are qualified professionals who receive regular, ongoing training and supervision from an occupational therapist. Allied health assistants carry out the tasks outlined in your personalised therapy plan and work towards achieving your individual SMART goals.
Working with an Allied Health Assistant is beneficial to the participant as it can help them to maximise their therapy hours and reach their goals faster.
If we were to compare two participants with the same therapy budget:
Participant A

Gets 67 hours of therapy in a year
Participant B
Works with a therapist and a therapy assistant
Has 30 hours of therapy with an occupational therapist plus 93 hours of therapy with a therapy assistant.
Gets 123 hours of therapy in total in a year
